I love seeing studio photos from the golden age of animation! Observing the work flow, especially the enormous amount of resources it took to produce animation, really puts things in perspective. Endless stacks of paper and celluloid, teams of animators, inkers and painters, and incredibly expensive cameras built to capture it all. What an amazing experience it must have been! That said, I am so incredibly thankful to be working in this field, in this era. Computers, like they did with every other industry on the planet, revolutionized animation and streamlined the process
The challenge now isn’t found in organizing massive studio work-flows, but instead, in finding ways to push the medium even further. It’s impossible not to be inspired by the explosion of animated styles and stories in the past few years. Whether it’s a brand, a film or an idea, animation gives us the chance to create something truly unique that captures people’s attention the way no other medium can.
